So yesterday I created my first Monero wallet and I didn’t exactly love how empty it was, so I looked up how to mine some crypto and I was surprised when I found out how easy it is to start. So normally I did what any beginner would have done, I went to miningpoolstats and chose a pool from the top three (my first mistake) and started mining. I even used a second computer with a shitty CPU because I thought it might help and left it mining all night. Obviously the results I made weren’t great at all, I need to learn lot more about mining if I want to take it seriously. I may have a very slow network and a very limited storage capacity which prevent me from solo mining but… I think I can find a better set up which will allow me to mine in p2pool which is from what I understood the best mining pool for my use case.
Overall, I really enjoyed the process and learned a lot from it. I learn a lot of stuff about crypto in general and made my first Monero wallet which I’ve left here for you guys if anyone is interested in supporting me. I know I’m not offering a lot these days but still, you can’t hangout with the cool kids if you don’t have a Monero QR code in your blog am I right XD. Also the whole thing was really fun especially while mining, I got stupidly excited every time a new block was found as if the whole thing was for me, I can’t wait to do this again sometime.
