It hasn’t been that long since I moved from i3 to bspwm, and yet I feel like trying dwm. I mean, I have tried it before, and actually, I am using it now whenever I feel like gaming or using a VM. There, I don’t have to worry about picom or other stuff running in the background since I kept the startup clean. But now I’m thinking about fully moving there and leaving bspwm for good. Don’t get me wrong, bspwm is great, and even though I really prefer i3, I’m still using it for some reasons. But every now and then, I crave that painful simplicity that only suckless software can provide. I’ve always been interested in the suckless philosophy, and I really wish to finally go through ricing dwm and enjoying a clean setup that gets the job done.
Also, I’ve been trying for a while now to get rid of Windows for good, but I couldn’t quite manage it. I only have 4 gigs of RAM, which isn’t enough to have a VM for Windows instead of hard installing it. I thought about trying a KVM, but …meh I’m really lazy for that, so I guess until I expand my storage, I’ll have to stick to Arch on its own, which is more than enough, I just wanted to have the option.
